John Thompson of Coffee Nexus has over a decade of experience in the speciality coffee industry and has worked on projects from the field through to retail. With a passion for coffee and the range of flavours that can be experienced in tasting it he always finds the cupping process enjoyable, whether it be daily quality assurance tastings, buying sample assessment or product development.

His work at origin has spanned several continents and he is fortunate to have worked closely with coffee growers in several countries to develop long tern relationships and sustainable buying programs. He has assessed coffee growing estates and cooperatives through supplier social audits, and has worked with growers on coffee quality improvement and production issues.

John has extensive manufacturing experience meaning that not only does he hold a practical and working knowledge of coffee laboratory equipment, but also of the roasting and packing process in a food production environment.
